USA Cheer

The USA Cheer Cheerleading Safety and Risk Management Course is the full course required for most state activities and athletics associations, as well as meeting college requirements for insurance coverage. The course is also beneficial for all star programs and for dance programs that involve lifts.  It is based on USA Cheer’s Cheerleading Safety Manual (4th edition). This course covers the topics of safety awareness, legal responsibilities, medical responsibilities, environmental safety factors, safety equipment, spotting, performer readiness, skill progressions, and levels of participation. This course is ideal for Junior High, High School and College coaches and administrators seeking to increase their knowledge of the important safety factors in cheerleading and cheer-related activities and methods to minimize risk. 

This the USA Cheer Cheerleading Safety and Risk Management Course. This course is designed to inform coaches and administrators of their responsibilities and introduce important concepts in safety and risk management.

Anticipated time to complete this course is 2 – 4 hours.  The training video can be watched separately and as many times as needed. Once the exam portion begins, you will need to complete the exam until finished. Answers are not saved. The exam portion will take from 1 hour to 90 minutes to complete.
